Jing - I use this for quick screen capturing tutorials to demonstrate various aspects of different software programs as well as tutorials on our LMS - ANGEL.

Voice Thread and Viddler - Great tool to use for class introductions, expanded discussions and lecture. I also use it for storytelling practices to enhance the lecture.

**__Prezi__** - An alternative to PowerPoint for presentations/lectures. I use this more so as a review tool than to introduce new concepts because I think it can be distracting to certain learners.

Audacity - Great for podcasting and adding audio to presentations.

iSpring - Easy PowerPoint conversion to flash video

Xtranormal.com - A free web-based tool that lets you easily create scripted animations. Its great to use in scenarios where you are teaching something verbal.

MovieMaker- included free with the Windows operating system. Good for basic video editing, this link goes to the Windows Vista instructions but there are different versions based on your Windows OS that can be found on the Microsoft site.

iMovie - included free with the Mac operating system. Good for basic video editing, this link goes to instructions on iMovie 08 but there are different versions based on your Mac OS that can be found on the Apple site

Mejuba - photo and video sharing

Glogster - interactive visual platform to create a poster or web page containing multimedia elements including text, audio, video, images, graphics, drawings and data

Irfan View- A screen capturing tool.

Snag It - A screen capturing tool.

Screencast-O-Matic - This allows you to do screen casts with audio.

Library of Congress Digital Collections - This is a site that has an extensive digital collection. There is a small fee for images that you want to reproduce.

Cacoo - Users can collaborately create and share diagrams.

http://www.avatarist.com/ - This is a free resource which allows users to select (from a pretty big collection) and/or create an avatar.

Shutterfly -This is a free website that allows you to store, share, and order photos that you've uploaded. This site guarantees never delete your photos and there is no limit on the number of photos you upload

Video Collections
Google Videos - Thousands of videos - search by topic.

TED Education The TED Conference (Technology, Entertainment, Design) posts all of the 14-20 minute "talks" from the live conferences on a range of innovative and interesting topics. I invite everyone to explore the site outside of education (really, the speakers are the "think outside box and do it successfully" types that inspire).

Common Craft - I like this site because it explains different types of media or systems in a plain and simple way. This also explains how social networking sites can help with networking, etc.

Youtube - Lots of video resources.
